We have previously identified KLK4 and STAMPs as being critical for prostate cancer growth and survival. KLK4 or STAMP knockdown significantly reduces prostate cancer cell proliferation and increases apoptosis in vitro and in vivo affecting various key signaling pathways. My focus is to study the potential interplay between the actions of KLK4 and STAMPs in mediating their effects on prostate cancer cells. To that end, I am using both in vitro and in vivo model systems, as well as nanoparticle mediated knockdown technology.
