Environmental presence and biological interactions of anthropogenic particles - Farhan R. Khan

Room 4424, 17. March  at 12.15

Since the turn of the century particulate pollutants have arguably been amongst the ‘hottest’ topics in ecotoxicology and environmental science – engineered nanomaterials, microplastics and most recently tire wear particles. Such particles have been described as a hallmark of the new human driven age – the Anthropocene.

As an Associate Professor at Roskilde University in Denmark, my research has focused on the presence of these particles in different environmental compartments and mostly their biological effects.  With this talk I introduced myself and my research to AQUA (where I am sitting as a guest researcher) and make myself available for potential collaborations.
