Facts and figures
Department of Informatics (IFI) was established in 1977, and was a pioneer offering the very first lectures within computer science in Norway.
IFI has approximately 1800 undergraduates, 600 master's students and 240 PhD students.
The overall staff is close to 370 employees, organized within five research sections and 18 research groups, and a Centre for Research-based Innovation (SFI).
