I am a Doctoral Research Fellow at the HISP Center and the Department of Informatics. In my research I study how digitalization of contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced information flow and information needs of actors and stakeholders involved with infectious disease surveillance and response in Norway. My research involves national as well as international collaborations with other researchers, master's students and developers.
Through my research, I study actors, stakeholders and systems, and how these influence each other. This also includes integrations between digital contact tracing systems and other information systems. For instance, how has the digitalization of contact tracing led to individual, organizational and institutional changes? Are we seeing an example of digitalization or a digital transformation. If it is the latter, what does digital transformation of contact tracing entail? Is it possible that changes during the COVID-19 pandemic are leading to lasting changes within contact tracing in Norway? If so, how can these changes influence other actors within the health care sector in Norway? These are some of the questions I am trying to answer.
