Choosing courses autumn 2023
Please note that the deadline for registration for courses in StudentWeb is Thursday, 17 August. Therefore, it is important that you review recommended courses in advance. You will find more information regarding this on your programme's start of studies pages above.
How to sign up for courses
You will be registered as a student early August, and then you will get access to the University of Oslo’s systems.
You sign up for courses in Studentweb through the "active courses" tab or through your individual "study plan".
We advice you to wait for the actual registration until you have attended the Welcome Meeting on Tuesday.

13 July: Deadline for accepting in Søknadsweb
15 August: Start of studies with welcome meetings
17 August: Deadline registering courses
1 September:
- Deadline register as a student and pay the semester fee
- Absolute deadline registering courses
- Deadline for applying for special examination arrangements
1 December: Deadline for your study plan agreement
Username and password
All students get a username on SMS before they start their studies.
Student Card, ID and access
The student card works as an admission card. Once you have paid the semester fee, you can also get the Student ID app on your mobile.
