Phishing and spare phishing emails are popular types of attacks to take advantage of the human factor in cybersecurity. One of the ways of misleading the users is to send a link which is very similar to a legitimate domain (e.g: dnbb.no), and use a fake website to steal confidential data (e.g. passwords).
The proposed master topic is about the overall investigation of phishing emails (analysis and comparison). Furthermore th project involves the planning and implementation of an automatic tool that identifies fake domains of similar names that are used (or are planned to be used) for phishing attacks.
