Current parking solutions (typically using parking apps or with automatic license plate recording) collecting a lot of personal identifying information that is only partly or indirectly required for the actual billing process, e.g. the user's current location.
The task of this thesis is to develop a concept and prototype implementation for a privacy-friendly parking solution. Possible steps are:
- Analysis of current parking apps (and potentially camera-based solution at supermarket/shopping malls)
- Functional requirement analysis for parking solutions (stakeholder interview?)
- Privacy requirement analysis (e.g. data-minimization, unlikability)
- Concept for a privacy-friendly solution
- Prototype implementation
