Radio Frequency hacking

Bildet kan inneholde: font, rektangel, teknologi, elektronisk apparat, magenta.

More and more IoT devices are connected to the Internet using various type of radio frequency communications. Attackers can easily use publicly available cheap hardware devices such as HackRFone to intervene in the communication and try out different attack types such as eavesdropping, faking messages or simply jamming the frequency.

This master project focuses on getting familiar with software defined radio programming and to create proof of concept scripts for different attack types such as jamming FM radio and analyze different attack options.

The project can also involve attack mitigations, e.g. how to avoid jamming with e.g. frequency hopping.

The HackRFone device, provided by the IFI Security Lab, will be used for this project.
