Academic interests

Applied computational chemistry and laboratory based measurements, primarily kinetics and spectroscopy to atmospheric chemistry in planetary atmospheres. I particularly focus on the chemistry of sulfur and chlorine compounds.

Background

Oct. 2019 obtained PhD University of Copenhagen Ph.D. Advisor Prof. Henrik G. Kjaergaard. April 2026 obtained the title of Finnish Docent from University of Helsinki.

I come from a physical chemistry background with a mix of experimental and theoretical methodologies used often in synergy together. My Ph.D. Project was about 70%/30% theory/experimental spectroscopy, while my first post doc in the US was 30%/70%. In Helsinki this fraction has flipped to be about 90%/10%.

I have worked extensively over the past many years to make strong international and cross-disciplinary connections to researchers rooted in planetary atmospheric research, such as scientists with direct ties to space missions/observations and to atmospheric modeleres.
