Academic interests
Experimental atmospheric chemistry applied to ambient air research (indoor and ambient air quality, atmospheric chamber experiments).
Measurements of volatile organic compounds (VOC) with on-line chemical ionization mass spectrometry, especially PTR-ToF-MS.
Analytical chemistry and geochemistry of soil, water and air samples.
Background
I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia, 2012). I completed a Master degree in Environmental Sciences at the Ca' Foscari University (Venice, Italy, 2004). As an analytical and environmental chemist I worked on ambient air research topics in EU and Australia (urban and industrial air pollution monitoring, environmental policy consultant), and as a food and packaging researcher in Germany (chemical analysis and human sensory evaluation of food and non-food odour). I previously taught analytical chemistry laboratory to undergraduates in Australia and delivered professional training on environmental topics (protection, legislation, planning) to industry and government professionals in Italy.
Positions held
Researcher in the Atmospheric Chemistry group.
