Oksidasjon og nedbrytning av metaller og andre materialer. Applikasjoner omfatter høytemperatur keramiske brenselceller og gass-separasjonsmembraner, hydrogenteknologi og karbonfangst, vannsplitting og vannrensing med sollys, samt termoelektriske generatorer.
