Election

Dean Election 2024

In the spring of 2024, the deanery for the period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028, will be elected. Employees and students are invited to propose candidates for the positions of dean and vice dean. A timetable for the election will be announced during February.

The deanery is elected as a team, consisting of a dean and a vice dean. Therefore, in the same proposal, names of candidates for both positions must be stated. The election of the deanery will be conducted through electronic voting.

If only one proposal for the deanery is received within the deadline specified in the timetable, according to UiO's election regulations (§ 26 pt. 2), there will be no regular election. The election will then be carried out by the incumbent Faculty Board. The proposed deanery will be considered elected if it receives a majority in the Faculty Board. If such a majority is not obtained, the election process will be restarted.

Candidate proposals should be sent by email to the Election Committee with a copy to the Election Secretariat by April 2, 2024 at 12:00 PM.
