Judit is a PhD student at the IQCC at the University of Girona under the supervision of Prof. Lluís Blancafort where she is part of the FRINGE FET-OPEN project investigating the photophysics of new Gd-based photosensitizers with the aim of developing a new hybrid technology for treatment of deep lying tumours, combining neutron-activated and photodynamic therapy.
Her three month stay in Oslo in collaboration with Dr. Marco Bortoli, aimed to acquire the required knowledge and expertise to run ab initio molecular dynamics simulations of Gd porphyrins in explicit solvent. This allowed to have a more realistic view of the behavior of the compounds and shed light on the dynamical factors that are important for the activity of photosensitization.
Visit: 1th March 2024 and 3 months visit at Hylleraas Centre, node UiO.
