Longstanding research collaboration

The visit of Sophia falls within longstanding research collaboration between the Gauss group and the Hylleraas Centre, to establish methods to improve the quantum mechanical accuracy of computational approaches for large-scale simulations. In this case, the aim is to extend the training of neural network-based Machine-learning interaction potentials to wavefunction methods, instead of conventionally employed Density Functional Theory.

Sophia Burger is currently pursuing her PhD in the group of Prof. Jürgen Gauss, at the Johannes Gutenberg-University, Mainz.

Visit

Sophia Burger visited Hylleraas Centre, UiO, in the period from 27.10.2024 to 26.11.2024.  Research collaboration with Michele Cascella and Sigbjørn L. Bore as supervisors.
