Collaboration on mechanical properties at bio-material interfaces.
Vinicius Firmino dos Santos is currently pursuing a PhD at São Paulo University, under the Supervision of Prof. Thereza Soares. The scope of his visit is to exploit the expertise developed at the Centre on data-driven approaches for multi-scale modelling. In particular, he will use differentiable molecular dynamics to optimise coarse-grained force-field parameters for polymer brushes.
The aim is to improve the quality of the molecular models toward better representation of the mechanical properties at bio-material interfaces.
Collaboration
