New Researcher: Ning Cao

We’re pleased to welcome Ning Cao, who has joined the Hylleraas Centre in Oslo as a Research Fellow. He will be working under the supervision of Abril Castro in her research group.

Ning received his PhD from the University of Oslo (UiO) in 2025. His doctoral work focused on elucidating reaction mechanisms of C–H oxidation catalyzed by Cu complexes and Cu-based MOFs.

At the Hylleraas Centre, Ning will focus his research on NMR and X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) simulations.

Ning starts his position at the Hylleraas Centre 6 th January 2026.
