The molecular cancer medicine group is supervised by Jorrit Enserink. The research group consists of people from several countries, and currently consists of the group leader, multiple post-docs and PhD students and a varying number of undergraduate students. We make use of the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae, as well as primary material from hematological cancer patients to study several basic problems in cancer. Our research aims to improve current cancer treatment strategies and to develop more accurate methods for predicting the outcome of various cancer therapies.
