On September 9, the working group for Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) at the Centre for Digital Life Norway (DLN) will organise an RRI-matchmaking meeting for researchers in the Oslo area that intend to apply for funding at the current call for proposals under the DLN-umbrella. This call, which has October 12 as its deadline, is in the region of 100 mill. NOK. Research projects funded over this call will need to have a strong RRI component, and the earlier RRI is considered in the development of a research idea, the better.

At this event, researchers from the life sciences who are planning a proposal will be able to meet researchers from the humanities and social sciences who are interested in working with RRI-topics. Participants can exchange ideas and discuss possible collaborations. Everyone who is interested can participate, also if the research idea still is vague or if you are not yet sure whether you are going to participate in a proposal for this call.

The meeting will start with a short introduction to RRI and its role in DLN. The RRI working group will give an overview of methods and tools for implementing RRI in biotechnology research projects. A major part of the meeting, however, will be devoted to a matchmaking session, where participants will be given the opportunity to converse and discuss with possible collaborators from the other field.

The meeting will last from 10.00 to 13.00, including lunch (free of charge). A more detailed program and location (in Oslo) will be sent to participants who have registered for the meeting.

There is a limited capacity. In case the limit is exceeded, a second meeting may be planned.
