Summary:
The assessment of the course is positive, and the lectures are highlighted as especially good. The respondents express that the course has a good balance between workload, difficulty, and learning outcomes. The lectures and group tuition are considered fruitful and rewarding. With the help of examples from the curriculum, discussion in the group lectures and presentations in the lectures, the content of the course was presented in a clear and structured manner. The respondents pointed out that there were some difficulties concerning the mandatory assignments, but these were relieved with the help of group tuition. > High quality lectures. Presents explainatory examples. The course is too heavily dependent on the details of the Emerald programming language. I would prefer an even more conceptual treatment of the theory. > The lecturer held exceptionally good lectures. However, he did not always hold his own deadlines. Lecture slides/pictures, oral examination date, devilry open for delivery of home exam. With this said, the lecturer still did a good job with this course.
Quotes:
The mandatory assignments have been too difficult. They have been difficult to understand and have at times been internally inconsistent. Some extra information needed to complete the assignment was only given at the group lecture, making it effectively obligatory to attend.> If Emerald is to be used in the future, the level of difficulty in the obligatory assignments must be lowered.[…]
