Summary:

The respondents’ assessment of the course was positive. The general opinion was that the quality of the lectures, group tuitions and course in general, is high. However, the respondents note that the level of difficulty of the course was High, and that the work load was Large.

Most students rated the course as good, and it is commented that the course had an exciting and important curriculum. Most students were happy with the lectures. Several students pointed out that the home exam was too big and was expecting too much of the students within the time frame given. Some suggested combining a home exam with an oral exam, as this would suit the nature of the course better.

Quotes:

Very good and interesting lectures, covering all the main points from the articles in a excellent way.
The exam is way too ambitious. To expect students to be able to plan the health policy for an entire country after three weeks of lectures is unreasonable. The practical group assignment does not prepare students for the final exam, and the course curriculum seems insufficient to be able to answer the final exam in a satisfactory manner.
Everyone I know (including myself) are very confused about the home exam. The assignment is OK, but a smaller task would be preferable. Although I think I understand the main points and feel like I have gained the learning outcomes of the course, the home exam is too big and confusing and requires a lot of my time. I think an oral exam would be better, or maybe a combination (getting a case, preparing something and then talk about it in an oral examination). A lot of the stuff I am writing about in the exam I really feel an urge to explain and talk about, and not just write it down. Also, the group assignment was ok and I learned a lot, but there is nothing from this assignment that prepared me for the home exam.

About the course evaluation
