Quotes:
(Three strengths of the course) The fact that students are required to implement what is learned in the lectures. The lecturers’ interest in the subject is transferred to the students through engaging lectures and live network intrusion during classes. The final exam appropriately reflected what was learned throughout the course.
The weekly assignments are sometimes too large, such that the total workload becomes ambitious at times. Since the midterm project workload was very large, it should be evaluated as a part of the final grade.
This course provided broad knowledge of how stateful firewalls and network/host intrusion detection systems function. In addition, students are required to implement working solutions and protect their networks against hacking attempts from the teachers. The professors are very talented and eager to pass their knowledge on to their students.
