Summary:

The students have evaluated the course mainly as Exceptionally bad to Somewhat bad. They consider the course as Difficult, but with Appropriate work required.

The general impression by the students is that the course lacks structure, information and proper communication between the students and the lecturer. The students think the examples provided during the course are outdated, and some of the lectures should have more discussions and relevance to the final project. However, the respondents think the curriculum is interesting.

Unstructured, learned about things after we had done them. Coding we learned did not match the knowledge needed to make an advanced custom module. More information about exam and we should also focus more of the lessons on reading the book and discussing design choices.
Lectures need to be up to date with what’s going on. Examples are from det beginning of 2000, and so much have changed. Teacher need to be up to date with what’s going on online. These lectures might have been really good in year 2000.
The course use it’s own course website, and the site was good in itselves. But it was annoying that we never got any respond on our forum questions, and that we never got any feedback.

The course evaluation is done by students in FUI (Fagutvalget ved Institutt for informatikk), and is based on questionnaires made at the end of each semester.
