The overall impression of this course was somewhat mixed. Many found the course important and helpful for further work with their master's thesis. At the same time many of the students thought the course was poorly organised and lacked consistency. Many pointed out that it seemed like the lecturer had been assigned the course at the last minute and was not prepared at the start. This did, however, improve over time. There was some confusion about the format of the final exam and the syllabus overall, and the respondents felt that there was a general lack of information.

Quotes:

Important course for the thesis. Different lecturers gave interesting and unique perspectives. Types of assignment was fitting.
Too many lecturers and somewhat unstructured, but still an interesting and important course.
A clearer red line between the different research methodologies learnt through the course Better course literature. Many of the articles on the syllabus were extremely boring and somewhat irrelevant to the course.
The research proposal requires a lot of time, even though we aren't graded on it. Examples of questions given on the exam did not match at all with the exam question themselves and we did not get to show what we have learned.
