Privacy Enhancing Features in Blockchain Technologies

The introduction of private transactions that can hide amounts, sender and recipient from the rest of the network while still verifying the transactions is of great interest. This is the case for transaction that are "shielded" or private from outsiders (nodes without permission to view transaction details). In an effort to research the privacy features in blockchain technologies we compare the solutions of Monero, ZCASH, Ethereum and Hyperledger Besu with focus on their privacy properties.
