Academic interests
Dr. Henrique Musseli Cezar is a researcher at the Hylleraas Centre for Quantum Molecular Sciences at the University of Oslo. With a background in computational physics, his research focus on developing methods for molecular simulations. He is the principal investigator of the project APExModel: Addressing Antimicrobial Peptides by Integrating Experiments into Modelling, funded by The Research Council of Norway. The project aims to develop and employ integrative methods for integrating experimental data with molecular simulations, to better understand and design antimicrobial peptides.
Background
Dr. Cezar has previous experience with Monte Carlo methods, molecular dynamics, data-driven simulations with Metainference, and machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs). In his research, these methods are applied to solve problems for different systems, to investigate, e.g. explicit solvent effects, solid/gas interfaces or self-assembling.
