Ph.d.-committee: Doctoral degree at the Institute

The PhD committee at the Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics (ITA) has the responsibility for coordinating the Doctoral degree at the department. The committee's tasks include evaluating the academic and professional content of applications, recommendation for admissions and to follow-up research fellows and their supervisors through annual reporting.

The members of the PhD committee are appointed for 4 years (PhD candidate for 2 years) and consist of a chair person/leader, a permanent scientific employee, and a PhD candidate. 

The student advisor acts as the secretary and administrative support for the committee.

The chair of the PhD committee is the representative for the department in the PhD program council at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
