IBV's procedure for field work
We have our own IBV Procedure for field work. Our procedure is a supplement to UiO's main procedure.
The reason for the additional procedure is to clarify what is expected of the field work responsible as well as splitting the documentation of who is actually working in the field (field card) and the risk assessment of field work.
Risk assessment of field work
In these pages we have gathered relevant information for risk assessing field work.
Field card
Everyone taking part in field work should complete a field card, including the field responsible if they are in the field. This is to ensure that the administration who who is in the field at any time and to make sure that we quickly can get in touch with your next of kin if an accident should occur.
Employees and students should complete the form at least 1 week prior to planned field work and as soon as possible for non-planned field trips (locally). You complete the field card once per field trip; i.e. if your field work lasts for two weeks you only complete it once.
e-Health and safety training
We want all our field trips and field work to be performed safely.
In this course you will get information about do's and don'ts when doing field work.
Vaccination
IBVs eployees and students performing field work may have the right to occuptional vaccines.
This can for instance be, TBE vaccination if your field work is disease infected areas (Link to FHI webpages, only in Norwegian).

Approvals
Field responsible should ensure that copies off all approvals (e.g.FOTS, Fylkesmannen), permissions, certificates etc. that is necessary for the field is attached to the risk assessment.
