I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biosciences within the section for Aquatic biology and toxicology. In my current project, I study the impact of multiple stressors on trophic dynamics in coastal and pelagic systems in the Skagerrak, Kattegat and Oslo fjord region. I combine methods from environmental DNA metabarcoding to C and N stable isotopes. My broad research interests lie in the role of biodiversity in ecosystem and Earth system functioning. I did my PhD research on the role of megaherbivores in ecosystem and Earth system functioning, where I focused on the role of the iconic, white rhinoceros, on savanna functioning as well as biophysical and biogeochemical climate-vegetation feedbacks. With my research overall, I hope to contribute knowledge to solutions tackling the pressing global challenges of biodiversity loss and climate change. My current Postdoctoral Fellowship is part of the wider Coastal Ecosystem Dynamics under Anthropogenic Pressures and is funded by the Ministry of Education and Research in Norway
