Cecilie`s main research interest is the human microbiome and its influence on human health. She is currently working on her PhD in the CRCbiome project group. The CRCbiome group is investigating interactions between CRC, lifestyle and microbiota to better guide prevention of CRC and increase the biomarker performance.
Cecilie has a background epidemiology and bioinformatics. She has experience with wet lab analyses of various samples and has worked with small RNA, DNA methylation and microbiome. She has also been the project coordinator of larger research projects and participated in several funding application processes.
