The Project Partners
The catalysis research group at the University of Oslo (UiO) in Norway and Danish industrial partner Haldor Topsøe (HTAS) based in Lyngby near Copenhagen are full network participants. Research groups at the University of Torino (UniTo, Italy), Ghent University (GU, Belgium), and Aarhus (AU, Denmark) with unique competence within spectroscopy and computational chemistry will be associated partners in the project.
Haldor Topsøe A/S - the industrial partner
Haldor Topsøe is a Danish catalysis company founded in 1940 by Dr. Haldor Topsøe. The company has over 2700 employees all over the world, of which 2100 work in Denmark.
Haldor Topsøe specialises in the production of heterogeneous catalysts and the design of process plants based on catalytic processes. Focus areas include the fertiliser industry, chemical and petrochemical industries, and the energy sector (refineries and power plants). Haldor Topsøe A/S is one of the world's leading companies within the field of heterogeneous catalysis.
The University of Oslo
The University of Oslo was founded in 1811 as the first in Norway. Today it is the country’s largest public institution of research and higher learning with 27 000 students and 6 000 employees. The Department of Chemistry is ranked as the premier academic research institute in chemistry in Norway.
The Catalysis Group at the University of Oslo has defined the following research vision: "Rational design of new and improved catalysts based on fundamental mechanistic insight"
