The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2023 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to a conference covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. Also this year several LATICE researchers will present their work at this conference.

The 7th annual LATICE meeting will take place 29-30 March 2023 in Drøbak.

The Norwegian Hydrological Council welcomes you to attend the 7th Conference on Modelling Hydrology, Climate and Land Surface Processes, (19–21 September 2023, Lillehammer, Norway).

We kick off a new semester with a LATICE seminar about snow-forest modeling by Clare Webster and Cassie Lumbrazo on August 31st, 2022 at 14:00.

Our next LATICE seminar will be about snow data assimilation with presentations from Esteban Alonso-González and Kristoffer Aalstad on September 29th, 2022 at 14:00.

Peter Horvath defended his thesis "Ecological Climatology and Distribution Modelling" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor, on February 18, 2022.

In the next LATICE seminar on Wednesday 21 April, Priscilla Mooney (NORCE) will present the recently funded H2020 project "Polar Regions in the Earth System".

Team of authors from LATICE, GEco and NIBIO have a new paper published in one of the open-access EGU journals – Biogeosciences. In the paper named Improving the representation of high-latitude vegetation distribution in dynamic global vegetation models the authors evaluated the performance of three methods for representing vegetation cover.

The Norwegian Hydrological Council, in collaboration with EMERALD, welcome you to attend the 6th Conference on Modelling Hydrology, Climate and Land Surface Processes, September 14.–16, 2021, Lillehammer, Norway.

In collaboration with LATICE, Anders Bryn and Peter Horvath have mapped ecosystem types within two areas at Finse, Norway, according to the 'Natur i Norge' system. The results are published in NHM Rapport 96, and the maps are available online.
