Our steering board should include one PhD student representative. Normally the PhD student will be elected at our general assembly every year from the participating group of students. Until February we need a volunteer representative to join our board. To be a representative gives great experience, allows you to contribute to and better our research school and is great to add to your CV. Please send an email if you are interested: firstname.lastname@example.org
DEEP partners at Aarhus University are offering a unique two week course for PhD students 3 – 14 October. They gather PhD students working in both petrology and geophysics from around the world. The application deadline for 2016 is 26 August!
DEEP can award grants to PhD student members for field work, research stays and courses that might be needed during the PhD. We have two deadlines each year and there is no upper limit for how many times one student can receive a grant.
We are happy to inform that Hanne H. Christiansen from UNIS and Charles Lesher from Aarhus University have said yes to join our steering board as external members for the next two years. Their long scientific experience will benefit us greatly as we are building up our research school.
