Doctoral candidate Juliane Linda Päßler at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis Formal Methods for Self-Adaptive Systems for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
Doctoral candidate Karthik Shivashankar at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis The Dual Role of Machine Learning in Technical Debt Management: Applying Machine Learning for Identification While Analyzing Debt within ML Systems for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
Doctoral candidate Nikolai Opdan at the Department of Mathematics will be defending the thesis Three Perspectives on Logarithmic Motivic Spectra for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
In this Odd seminar, we will look at how thematic analysis was described in the much cited 2006 paper by Braun and Clarke, how these authors have later developed and described it, and critique against (uncritical) use of thematic analysis. Finally, we will discuss the use of thematic analysis and which alternatives exist.
Ilyes Jalisse is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo. His research interests lie in experimental studies of dynamics of elastic sheets, especially developing new experimental method for observations.
Doctoral candidate Lisa Pankewitz at the Department of Informatics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis Personalizing Congenital Heart Disease Modeling: From Coordinates to Fiber Architecture for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
