Jeg har omfattende erfaring med funksjonelle studier vedrørende energimetabolisme, mitokondriefunksjon, metabolsk skifte og insulinsresistens i ulike cellemodeller, spesielt humane skjelettmuskelceller (myotuber) isolert fra friske personer, og fra personer med fedme med eller uten type 2-diabetes.
