Thi Thuy Luu (UiO, PGP) will talk about HBV (Buskerud and Vestfold University CollegeTønsberg, Norway) lab facilities. She will also talk about her PhD work that she did there about "Solid liquid interdiffusion (SLID) wafer-level bonding for MEMS packaging".
This wine seminar reports on a field expedition/worskhop in the northern Patagonian Andes that involved 8 PGP people. The menu of the presentation is: volcanoes, amazing geology, stunning landscape, condors, gauchos and… Asado!!! Doctoral candidate Nana Yaw Agyei-Dwarko at the Department of Geosciences will give a trial lecture on the given topic: The classical/traditional tectonic concepts (maps) and models of the Scandinavian Caledonides: their foundation and the on-going revolution
Bjarte Aarseth (The viking ship museum, Museum of Cultural History, UiO) will present us his work on 3D scanning and digital visualisation of Vikingship and Norwegian icons.

Lærernes årlige etterutdanningsdag ved UiO arrangeres torsdag 29. oktober 2015. Her kan lærere høre aktuelle foredrag innen det fagfeltet de underviser i eller som de er interessert i å lære seg noe nytt om. In September 2015 it is 100 years since one of the fathers of the modern meteorology was born - Arnt Eliassen (9.9.1915 – 22.4.2000). This is celebrated by DNVA and UiO with a seminar on how fundamental science can change the society: The emergence of modern meteorology.
The programme consists of five speeches and is open for all interested, dinner for invited guests and others (if capacity). Register before 4.9.
