Welcome to GEO`s Graduation Ceremony spring 2025
As a final master's degree graduating student, you are warmly welcomed on Wednesday, June 18, to celebrate the completion of your education and academic degree. The goal of the ceremony is to honor this important milestone and mark your transition to a new chapter in life.
The ceremony is a friendly yet formal event to commemorate the completion of your studies here at the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo.
The program will consist of the following:
- Welcome by Head of Department, Joseph LaCasce
- Remards by Head of Education, Ingrid Anell
- Musical performance
- Speech by the MSc program leader, Lars Eivind Augland
- Presentation of the candidates and distribution of roses by Lars Eivind Augland
- Graduation speech on behalf of the students by Lisa Julianne Nystad
- Musical performance
- Group photo with a photographer
- Tapas and refreshments in "pauserommet" (lunch room, ground floor)
The ceremony will be held in Auditorium 1 in the Geology building, Wednesday 18 of June, from 1:30 PM to approximately 5:00 PM. You may invite up to 2 guests to the ceremony and can sign up here:

- Master’s program in Geosciences
- Master’s program in Computational Science: Geoscience
