A model of the value chain for the health industry will help shed light on bottlenecks on the way from research and ideas to pharmaceuticals, medical devices or digital therapies that are exported and sold globally. It will help us prioritise when we are to build a sustainable Norwegian health industry in line with the government's new road map for the health industry. The university is an important contributor in many parts of the value chain.

Five promising researchers at the University of Oslo have been awarded ERC Starting Grants from the European Research Council. The projects showcase the breadth of UiO's disciplines, ranging from sustainability and marginalization to plasma accelerators and sleep.

Check the UiO call for innovation funding within all academic fields. The application deadline was 31 August. Now we are evaluating the applications.

This is the first book dedicated to compiling state-of-the-art visualization in porous materials.

The book serves as a reference for teachers, scientists, and engineers working with porous materials. Many of the contributors are affiliated with PoreLab and the Njord Centre.

The Nordic SPARK programs which include UiO:Life Science' innovation program SPARK Norway, have successfully collaborated over several years to boost the emergence of new innovative solutions in the health tech and life science field. Collaboration in mentoring of the projects started a few years ago, and we are now building the next level joint efforts.
