Community Health Workers carry out health care in the villages where they live. Although they have minimal health education, they deal with several health issues; maternal and child health in particular.
A patient system for maternal health is developed for 4 African countries in the EU project mHealth4Afrika. In addition to be used in clinics, the system will also be adapted to be used by community health workers.
The master thesis should take part in configuration and evaluation of an Android app for community health workers in Malawi. We will support the travel and help out with practical arrangements.
You need to take the course INF5761 - Health management information systems and INF5850 - ICT for Development is recommended.
