The lockers at VB
MNSU administrates the rental of lockers at Vilhelm Bjerknes’ hus. The rent is 50 kr per semester, and all students at the MN faculty can use the lockers. Here are 2 simple steps you must do in order to have your own locker at VB:
New locker regulations (norwegian)
Starting spring 2022, the deadlines for reclaiming forgotten objects have been updated, including the deadline for protesting an incorrectly cut lock. The rules for what can be kept in the lockers have also been changed.
You can pay for a locker in two ways - Vipps OR cash:
1) Via Vipps:
- 50 kr
- Our Vipps number is #17757.
- Remember to give your UiO username and locker number in the Vipps message
- It should look like this: username lockernumber
- EXAMPLE: olanord A01
2) Cash:
- Send an email to bokskap@mnsu.no notifying us that you will be paying in cash.
- Remember to include your UiO username and locker number
- Put 50 kr in an envelope marked with the locker number and your UiO username and put this in our mailbox outside our office - see our visiting adress here.
The deadline for paying for lockers is 15. February in spring, and 15. September in fall.
You are responsible for the items you keep in your locker. We recommend avoiding leaving valuable items in the lockers.
Lockers that are not paid for by the deadline will have their locks cut.
If you find a free locker after the deadline, you must pay the rent the same day that you reserve it. If your lock is cut, you must pay a fine of 100 kr in order to reclaim the contents. MNSU will keep the contents of lockers whose locks have been cut for 1 month. Unclaimed items are then the property of MNSU. Renters agree to follow MNSU’s locker rules.
