During this session Nordic SPARK projects will showcase their new cool solutions.

Robert S. Langer (USA), Armand Paul Alivisatos (USA), and Chad A. Mirkin (USA) have revolutionised the field of nanomedicine by demonstrating how nanotechnology can advance biomedical research and practice. Their discoveries have laid the foundation for the development of treatments, vaccines, and diagnostics.

Even Marius Nordhagen will defend his thesis "Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Dry Friction on the Nanoscale" " for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Doctoral candidate Bjørn Gading Solemsli at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis "Spectroscopic and mechanistic studies of the direct activation of lower alkanes over Cu-containing nano-porous catalysts"

Vilde Eide Skingen will defend her thesis “Development and application of a histopathology platform for spatial investigations of hypoxia in prostate cancer” for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Doctoral candidate Eirik Nøst Nedkvitne at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis "Ammonia Hydrometallurgy and Other Innovations for Sustainable Management of Waste Incineration Fly Ash" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.

Ingunn Hanson will defend her thesis "Modulation of Radiosensitivity by TGF-β3; Response Studies In Vitro and In Vivo" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

The funding period for our second generation convergence environment is coming to an end and we invite you to a pleasant gathering where we will hear the researchers' own experiences from being in a convergence environment. Welcome to join us celebrating their achievements.
