Bioactive natural products and health effects (BioNatH)
BioNatH is a central research group within Pharmacognosy.
The research deals with isolation and structurally elucidation of biologically active components from plants used as medicines and food. Testing of relevant bioactivities is also part of the research.
About the group
The research group is focusing on:
- Isolation and structurally elucidation of
- Carbohydrate polymers
- Polyphenolic compounds
- Low molecular natural products
- Biologically testing of
- Complement fixation
- Radical scavenging
- Macrophage activation
- Inhibition of peroxidative enzymes
