Faglige interesser

Hovedfokus i forskningen er rettet mot utvikling av nye, forbedrede mikroekstraksjonssystemer for rask og selektiv isolasjon av legemiddelsubstanser fra små volum av biologiske matrikser. Mikroekstraksjonen er basert på kunstige væskemembraner, hvor studier av legemiddeltransport over væskemembranen basert på enten passiv diffusjon eller elektrokinetisk migrasjon står sentralt. Hensikten er at disse væskemembranene skal brukes innen legemiddelanalyser og biokjemiske analyser i fremtiden, for rask prøvetaking og prøvepreparering i mikroskala laboratoriesystemer, i enkeltceller og i levende organismer. Annet fokusområde er idrettsfarmasi, antidoping og legemiddelbruk i idretten.
