Forskning

Vår forskning er innenfor fagområdet farmasøytisk analytisk kjemi, og har fokus på utvikling av nye konsept for mikroekstraksjon. Vi arbeider med teknikkene elektromembran ekstraksjon (EME) og væske-fase mikroekstraksjon (LPME). EME og LPME kan benyttes til å isolere og oppkonsentrere legemidler, legemiddelmetabolitter, endogene metabolitter og peptider fra humane blod, urin og spyttprøver.

Vår forskning er konseptuell, delvis grunnleggende og delvis anvendt, og omfatter følgende:

  • Verifiseringsforsøk
  • Utvikling av teori for massetransport 
  • Utvikling av utstyr (blant annet 96-brønn og mikrochip teknologi)
  • Utvikling av illustrative farmasøytiske og biomedisinske anvendelser
  • Kommersialisering

Vår forskning er motivert av forventningene om at neste generasjon analytisk kjemi i stor grad vil være basert på mikroekstraksjonsteknikker for prøveopparbeidelse.
