Faglige interesser

Jeg er interessert i mikroorganismenes biologi generelt.
Jeg har i alle år vært interessert i fysiologi, biokjemi og molekylærbiologi hos ulike fototrofe bakterier. I de senere årene har jeg arbeidet spesielt med proteiner fra fototrofe bakterier som lever ved høy temperatur i varme kilder. Jeg har også hatt mer anvendte prosjekter i samarbeid med industrien for å utvikle raske, molekylærbiologiske  metoder for påvisning av bakterier i drikkevann.
