Research projects and/or fields of interest

I have been a permanent member of the Information Systems research group since 2022. Before that, I was first a PhD candidate (from 2016) and then a postdoc in the Digital Innovation research group. And before joining IFI, I worked as a software developer at Microsoft. In both my research and teaching, I primarily focus on digitalization within the healthcare sector. I teach, among other courses, IN5090 on health data, and currently, I spend most of my research time on a project investigating the implementation and use of artificial intelligence in specialized healthcare services. As a postdoc, I was elected as a representative on the departmental board for temporary employees. I have also previously served on the program councils for the Digital Economy and Management and Digitalization in the Healthcare Sector programs.

Aspirations and priorities for this role

I am running for election to the department board because I want to contribute to the department’s development in the coming years. For me, IFI’s greatest strength, in both teaching and research, is that we combine academic breadth with a shared informatics identity. Digitalization is, and will continue to be, one of the most important drivers of development in society and the workforce. I believe we can contribute positively to this development, by continuing to advance the various disciplines that make up our breadth, by collaboration, cross-disciplinary discussions and teaching, and by encouraging a more active role through dissemination and participation in public debate.
