The Gender equality committee, overview of members

The gender equality committee at the Department of Geosciences currently consists of 5 members. The committee is chaired by Lena M. Tallaksen, who is also the institute's equality contact.

The committee members are:

• Lena M. Tallaksen, Professor (Head of Committee)
• Désirée Treichler, Researcher
• Ingrid Anell, Associate Professor
• Clint Conrad, Professor
• Trine-Lise Knudsen Gørbitz, Head of Office

The members of the Equality Committee apply for 2024 -.

Mandate:

1. prepare an action plan for gender equality at the department
2. make a plan for the use of incentive funding

In connection with the action plan, it was decided to focus on:

• recruitment including preparation of a checklist in connection with appointment processes,
• survey the current situation (proportion of women in various job categories) in order to arrive at targeted measures,
• special follow-up of female employees, including local mentoring programmes, career plans and meetings.
