Pelagic ecology

The research in pelagic ecology addresses life and environmental interactions in the free water masses of the sea.

About the group

We are a diverse group of researches with different projects on topics ranging from virus, to plankton to whales in both marine and freshwater environments. We use a cocktail of laboratory experiments, field studies and modeling to answer exciting questions related to biodiversity, behavior, evolution, anthropogenic stress and climate change.

Please contact any us if you are interested in a Master project or want to come and work with us!

Resources

Soon we will have more info about cutting edge and traditional approaches that we use, until then check this automatized imaging robot that we use to study plankton behaviour or read more about our acoustic methods on this page.
