
Section for Earth Evolution and Dynamics (CEED) is a Centre of Excellence funded by the Norwegian Research Council. The centre has its own scientific advisory board, and is also subject to the Dept. of Geosciences board. CEED scientific activities are funded for 10 years. The centre is led by Prof. Trond Torsvik as Deputy.

Research themes for the CEED centre
The research activities in the Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics is multidisciplinary and includes most of the geoscience disciplines. CEED's research and teaching activities cover a wide range of subjects (including geodynamics, tectonics, geophysics, petrology, geochronology, and more).
