Section for Earth Evolution and Dynamics (CEED)

This section is a Centre of Excellence funded by the Norwegian Research Council. The centre has its own scientific advisory board, and is also subject to the Department of Geosciences board. CEED scientific activities are funded for 5 years with an extension of 5 years after mid-term evaluation. The centre is led by Professor Carmen Gaina, with Trond H. Torsvik as Deputy.

Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics

The research activities in the Centre is multidisciplinary and includes most of the geoscience disciplines. CEED research and teaching activities cover a wide range of subjects (including geodynamics, tectonics, geophysics, petrology, geochronology, etc).
