Ruben Pariente Bassa will defend his thesis “Quantum Algorithms for Constraint Optimization and Circuit Synthesis; A NISQ journey” for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Kamélia Daudel is an Assistant Professor in the Department Information Systems, Data Analytics and Operations at ESSEC Business School in France. Her current research is within the field of approximate inference. She is, in particular, interested in variational inference methods which go beyond the commonly used parametric variational distribution framework and which involve flexible families of divergence measures.

Doctoral candidate Claudia Fabris at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, is defending the thesis "Investigating the influence of modified zeolite Y on the catalytic pyrolysis of polymers and on the MTH reaction" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.

Gabriel is a postdoctoral fellow at Njord, working on the PERCOLATE project. 

Marthe Arntzen is a PhD candidate at The Norwegian Centre for Science Education.

Anders Rønn-Nielsen is an associate professor of statistics at the Department of Finance at Copenhagen Business School, where he also serves as coordinator of the Center for Statistics. He joined Copenhagen Business School in 2017, following positions at the University of Copenhagen and Aalborg University. He received his PhD in statistics from Aarhus University in 2010. 

His research interests include extreme value theory, Lévy-based modelling, statistical methods in efficiency analysis, and financial transfer learning. His work spans both theoretical and applied statistics, with recent research focusing on extreme value theory for spatial random fields, statistical testing in nonparametric efficiency analysis, and transfer learning in financial prediction.
